Just this second received the email about this, which is great as I achieved Silver for the first time this year and with all our flights cancelled, I have not been able to enjoy the benefits as of yet. Hopefully we'll get a chance to enjoy them next year. It may have taken them a while to announce this but I'm glad they have as I wasn't convinced they would do it for everyone, I thought it would be a more targeted approach not aimed at us less than frequent flyers.
