Appreciate comments/ thoughts on AF award business class cancellation/change
Hello. We had booked travel to Paris for July and obviously are not expecting to undertake this trip. I used Chase Reward points transferred to AF to book my return from Paris.
Although a frequent traveler I am not familiar with carrier or Air Blue. Am seeking thoughts on best way to handle this. Does it make sense to cancel immediately and have points returned to Flying Blue
(not sure of penalties) or would it be more advantageous to wait for likely cancellation of my flight from the carrier (non stop Paris/ORD)?.
Our travel to Paris was with AA points so I believe I can forgo penalties by rebooking same itinerary- again am not sure if it is best to wait for potential flight cancellation or be proactive.
I know this is a minor problem in the scheme of things and am happy we don't have cash tied up in this trip but still hope to maximize value of points expended here.
