Just converted an FFC to ETC online using a button that was available on top of the reservation. This process was super easy and fast. Shows the value available before you confirm, takes two clicks once you’re in the reservation (button to ‘convert to travel certificate, which is beside the ‘use future flight credit’ button, and then on the next page, to confirm. Let’s you enter the email address you want it sent to (so doesn’t have to be the same address used as the primary at time of reservation), and the email with the info/PIN arrived in literally seconds.
we all complain on here the second UA screws things up (and they do), but we often don’t come on here when they do a good job with these things. So this is my attempt to say good job on this conversion tool - worked flawlessly, at least for me.
