I think this is quite clearly a play to get cardholders to make this card top-of-wallet. Not to drive marginal spend but to change the card people are using for regular spend, to get a bigger piece of the smaller pie of overall credit card purchases during this time period. "Use your card to pay for bills, deliveries, groceries, online purchases and more."
