Just called up AA and got my FCO-PHL-BOS rebooked to FCO-LHR-PHL-BOS (as FCO-PHL was cancelled).

I am trying to pick my seats on the FCO-LHR BA codeshare but when I enter the confirmation # into BA's website it says it can't be found. Do I need to call into BA to get seats assigned? I understand that they still charge $$ even for award tickets in J.
