Effective 26 March 2020, passengers arriving from the USA are requested to stay at the location designated by a quarantine station chief for 14 days and to not use public transportation in Japan.
Is this different from being able to self-quarantine at one's hotel or apartment? I am not going to Japan anytime soon, but my friend is supposed to go back to a work training facility next month -- facility still very much open. I realise it may not be open by then. But still curious if he will be able to go home, to a hotel, or to some kind of government quarantine facility.
