I agree, though in the specific case of LCY it's a rotten parking place for anything other than the regulars who operate there.
More marginal airports like Exeter, Bournemouth, Newquay, Robin Hood, Prestwick, one of the Belfast airports, Norwich, etc, could be or are already being used for parking.
