Are there any data points on how to effectively use the credit without leaving your house? Ideally would prefer to prepay for a US property but I understand that those are centrally processed and don't trigger it.
My card renews early in June and the odds of being able to have a resort stay by then are needless to say, not great.
It's possible that credits will be extended. Some folks have called properties and asked them to charge future stays or other items now. Some properties also charge a deposit now, but if you end up cancelling, Amex will claw back the credit.
