Wide body parking
AirNZ has 40 wide bodies and if they cut services by 80% probably will only need 6, two each for LAX,SIN and HKG with those doing trans Tasman during the day. Add two spares that leaves 32 extras where do you park them?
Maybe hard stands and taxi ways at AKL but given more domestic spares that could get tricky. Maybe Whenuapai’s old unused 12/30 Runway and maybe some at Ohakea?
No doubt we will start seeing creative Parking in the next week. One of many new challenges for them to sort.
