The thing is probably less the getting to somewhere, it is the getting back. The issue with exponential growth is that a destination may appear perfectly safe, and a week later it has gone to the dogs. The situation is extremely fluid, think of Spain: it was not really on the corona map, and then pretty much over night it jumped to number 5 of the global leader board, and now you are not allowed to leave the house.
I for one will re-assess the situation as it evolves, where BA cancels I will request a refund, where they don't I will take the travel voucher. In the meantime I shall panic buy chocolate (as of yet easy to get) and keep netflix streaming.
