Questions about my first charter flight
Hello FT! I am currently on a 100 day world cruise that just got cancelled. We are headed back to Perth and should be alongside March 21. We left Exmouth, Western Australia 12 days ago, picked up fuel and food in Sri Lanka, just to turn around and head back to Australia.
The current plan is to have charter flights to take us back to our home countries. My wife and I are from the states.
ive never been on a charter flight before, so not sure how it works. Are these usually flown by a regular air carrier and their cabin crews? I'm thinking they might take us by bus from the ship directly to the plane. Do you usually go through security at the airport? Will I notice any difference from a regular commercial flight?
Finally, I know Australia has closed its cruise ports, it we are hopeful that since we haven't been anywhere since we left Australia, they will let us back in! If not, I have no clue what they will do with us!!
