Send you luggage home by DHL/Fedex or whoever so you can travel hand baggage only, they are after all your dirty washing.
When you are hand baggage only see if you can get a seat through DOH on QR. I would just try to get home and forget your 2 for 1. I'm sure you can get some sort of voucher from BA later.
