It’s a business, not a charity so they use all the tricks they can. On a positive note the current waiver is quite generous but they must be absolutely bleeding as a business... new bookings are off the cliff and at the same time clxs are sky high.
And, whenever travel picks up again they have lots of moved bookings there from flights that will now operate at a loss = it’s really a double/triple hit.
Crazy times, not only for airlines, of course..
