The credited is documented in exactly the same way, and in exactly the same place, as the original eTicket that was going to be used for allow you to travel, and they are equally likely to forget either of those. (Which is to say, extremely unlikely, bordering on impossible).

As long as your reservation shows up in the 'Canceled' section of the website, there's nothing to worry about. (My Trips -> View All Trips -> Canceled, as emcampbe said).
