Are any of you familiar with both the AA and UA international upgrade certs? Are they equivalent in terms of use, i.e. would they make an equal trade, one-one?

Any information you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Punki
Punki, Hi... your being an UA flyer I'm just going to point out the main differences :
a) An AA SWU upgrades up to three segments, one-way itinerary
b) They can be applied over the majority of fares sold
c) Upgrades on AA can also be got through miles - no restriction whether upgrade is supported either with an AA SWU (also known as VIPOW) or with miles
d) If the upgrade request is asked within the 21-day window there's a fee up to $75 if you're not EXP (eq. to UA 1K)

I guess these are the main points.
