Delta is not unionized. But UA is. So following the CBA is far more important.
Following the CBA is only for represented groups. UA could give whatever it wants to the other groups but from what I'm told they've reduced the profit sharing over the past few years even as profits rose. There isn't a thing the non represented groups can do about it . Allegedly the profit sharing this year will be bumped up but it won't be anywhere close to what Delta is paying out. Profit sharing should be an equal percentage across all groups (as it is at Delta) but that isn't the way it works at UA.
