this isn't even really that helpful, even if you're looking every 5 minutes, it doesn't matter, because when this happens, all the seats are shuffled at the same time.
Delta needs to fix their software to put people in the same seats when these changes happen and the seatmap is the same. It seems like they almost would have to go out of their way to cause this in some cases.
