Regular visitor visa need something caled "surrender" or "renunciation" certificate which people who obtained US citizenship decades ago (30+ years) dont have it.

It seems new e-Visa does not require renunciation (someone else can confirm) based on a dummy application.
But website immihelp reports issues with having BOTH eVisa and OCI

6 years of Modi govt. Seems like beuractratic nonsense is actually increasing rather than decrease that was promised.

No one has exlained the need for getting new OCI card within age 49 to 51 but no need between 21 to 49 or 51 to 99.
a) They cud easily make reissue mandatory for everyone every 10 years (but just the ID card, not entire process)
b) They should not take away old card until new card is ready for shipment. (in wich case you are unable to fly just 48 hours irrespective of processing backup)
