48. Ah, it wasn't a B747-400....it was an earlier model 747 (which I'll guess was actually a B747-200). Here's the sched....

NW 101: Detroit (DTW) 7:20a - 8:16a Minneapolis/St. Paul (MSP) 9:20a - 11:40a Phoenix (PHX)
Freq: Daily
Service classes: F/Y
Meal services: Breakfast in F, Snack in Y DTW-MSP, Breakfast MSP-PHX
Equip: 747

Besides the above flight, Northwest was at this same time operating daily 747 domestic service MSP-LAX, MSP-ORD, MSP-SEA, LAX-HNL and SEA-HNL. And NW was also operating B747-400 service on just one domestic route at this time: DTW-MSP which was flown five days a week with a 744 with an earlier model 747 then being used on the same schedule the other two days of the week.
