I just visited in both hotels in a row. Al Maha is way better than Alila, the only tie is about the view, the view in Al Maha is desert view and the Alila has mountain view which is also breathtaking. However, I visited in Dec and both property are fully booked, but in Al Maha you won't feel as crowded as in Alila, I am sure you will have better experience in low season
