As a card jing I analogise it similar to Dynamic Currency Conversion:
- forced on you by suppliers setting a new low in service
- best avoided by active management
- sometimes unavoidable when you're trying to fly on Christmas Day (my next 787) (I treat all non-JL 787 the same as 777 10-abreast)
