I would vote for the TWA Hotel and check out at 1115am for the 1pm flight. Maximize sleep and minimize lounge time given the late arrival.
....also....given the midwestern reference, continue to check for ORD-TYO avilability up to a day or so before departure. JAL are known for opening up space in the last few days up to F1. With this you might be able to sleep in your own bed the night before and still have the JAL experience.
I don't think I can change the flight without paying change fees so I think that's out of the picture.
You do bring up a good point, will I not be able to access the flagship lounge in the morning? If not that kind of cements my decision at getting a hotel.
