Not really a secret. Also, not every plane has 21 as one of its exit rows.
For me, E+ is more than comfortable for anything up to six hours (e.g. TCON flights). I have 5 R/Ts between NYC and SFO/LAX in January alone (not all with UA but similar seats at other carriers).
