I go for this, possible you made an "opinion" who really made him upset...
Now it sounds as though the employee heard something and got his feelings hurt and decided to retaliate on the OP in the only realistic way he could making up some faux policy in order to justify it. No matter what the OP said (with the exception of language threatening to the flight or something of that nature), the employee acted completely unprofessionally and should be disciplined.
It also doesn’t really explain why the GA was at a bar listening to customers in the first place.
