I would like to share the following news: Qantas (QF) will join Flying Blue as a partner airline as of 9 December 2019. In case you would like to know what this means for you, please read below (and also on the Flying Blue website).
As of 9 December 2019, all Flying Blue members will be able to:
- earn miles;
- earn XP on eligible flights (provided flights are booked in a mileage earning fare class);
- earn Elite bonus miles;
- spend miles
- extent overall validity of miles.
Earn miles
Earning will take place based on the fare class and distance flown according to the following scheme:
- First class: F, A (150%);
- Business class: J, C, D (125%); I (100%);
- Premium economy: W (110%); R (100%); T (75%);
- Economy: Y, B (100%); H (75%); K, M (50%); L, S, V (25%); G, N, O, Q (20%).
Elite benefits
In addition, Flying Blue Silver members will receive the following benefits when flying QF:
- additional baggage (1 piece or 23 KG above standard allowance).
In addition, Flying Blue Gold, Platinum (Ultimate) and Club 2000 (Skipper) will receive the following benefits when flying QF:
- additional baggage (1 piece or 23 KG above standard allowance);
- priority check-in;
- priority baggage handling;
- priority boarding;
- access to preferred seats.
QF Silver members travelling on AF/KL will receive the following benefits:
- additional baggage (1 piece above standard allowance).
QF Gold, Platinum and Platinum One members travelling on AF/KL will receive the Skypriority designation benefits when flying AF/KL. Their benefits include the following benefits:
- additional baggage (1 piece above standard allowance);
- priority check-in;
- priority baggage handling;
- priority boarding;
- access to preferred seats.
