You're hoping that we are correct?

Have you never flown to LAX on AA? It is really a tiny little terminal, with many of the gates in one big room at the end of the building and several other gates along the corridor. I can run from one end to the other in just over a minute and can easily walk it in 5. And I'm old.

Minimum connecting time D-I at LAX? 40 minutes.

You need to find something else to worry about, because your connection time at LAX hardly qualifies as something to get this worked up over.
