I'm only on target for renewing Plat. But if anyone has creative ways for me to earn another 14,000 EQMs cheaply to get to PP, please chime in. I already have the required EQD's, and I checked the buy up page to no avail....
Platinum for me hasn't been bad this year. I have to say my two biggest benefits have been the Flagship lounge on a few trips to Central America, and the ability to grab good MCE seats at time of booking.
My business travel routes are usually ~1200 mile mid-con flights on A319's with 8F or E175's with 9F cabins that are filled with ExPlts and paying passengers. I deduce this because sometimes I pay the extra $180 to be in F for my return trips to get a confirmed seat up front on my ride home after a long week, and the upgrade list is huge. So... not so sure that as a PP I would get much of a leg up. I haven't spent much $$ buying upgrade chits this year either. I've been able to use them on strategically planned flights as I've been earning them on paid flights.
