Award seats available but placed on waitlist
Hi,
Has anyone experience this before? I'm booked in business class and called M&M to upgrade the booking to first. I couldn't do it online as wife and I are booked under the same booking reference, and wanted to upgrade using miles from our respective mileage accounts. There is availability showing online for 2 first award seats, but the agent said that there was no availability, and has placed me on a waitlist. I would have expected that if award seats are available to book outright with miles, then I should be able to upgrade to those seats with miles. Is this not the case?
