Day 2 - Afternoon
After showering and cooling down, I grabbed some lunch at the buffet and then prepared for the afternoon river cruise.

The cruise started from the hotel pier and went along the Chobe River for 3 hours.

Before continuing, we had to stop at the park office to register with the park rangers.

We spotted this female nile croc lying on the grass to regulate her body temperature. She didn't wander far from her nest of eggs several feet away.

We saw a bunch of boats looking at something, so we went to check it out.

Dead Buffalo
Someone has spotted the dead buffalo from the river and noticed this leopard nearby. We were at a pretty far distance, and even with a long zoom it was hard to get a good shot of this guy.

Still Looking for the Leopard
We decided to try our luck with the leopard once more and found that he was resting out in the open.

After the cruise, I went back to the room and shortly went to dinner. Night time is when the cicadas came out in full force. The cicada song was very loud outside my room, but it was even louder down by the pool area where the barbecue dinner was served that evening. The cicadas were so loud that I actually had some temporary hearing loss after dinner.
