I just made two separate award bookings in my SM account.
Then I decide to print the itinerary and go back to "My Trips" to find the 2 bookings I just made.
Now "My Trips" is showing there are duplicate bookings for each itinerary with 4 x a different Confirmation Code (and receipt).
This happened a couple of times before, including revenue bookings for expensive Int. tickets.
If I don't catch this within the 24-hr-cancellation period for a Basic Econ ticket - award or revenue - I guess I'm totally out of luck ?
No, they'll see that it's a duplicate booking when you call in to cancel one.
