I had 1 booking ref with my 3 kids. Under that ref, I was able to see availability to upgrade them with my miles. Today, I have been sent 2 booking refs - I have 1 booking ref for me and another has been given to me for them.
Now, when I log into my Privilege Club and enter my booking ref, there is availability for me to upgrade my seat, but when I enter their booking ref, there is no availability for even 1 seat for them. When I go back to my booking it still shows I can book an upgrade for myself.
When I ring Qatar they are so hopeless over the phone, any suggestions what I should do?
If you are Gold or above, I think the system offers more upgrade options - one thing to try would be to ask Qatar (the airline office / your travel agent) to combine the PNRs (I know they can be split, I'm not sure if they can be combined)
Also, phone agent helpfulness varies by country - try the US/UK numbers
