Apparently not as random as we thought... Took my mother in law for her interview today... I asked the agent why my infant daughter was taking so long, since they applied the same week. He said, since she's a newborn, she is not priority and will take longer to review and approve.
I don't get that response. Being a newborn, she should be a quick and simple approval. Unless infants are suddenly staging murders and dealing drugs, there's nothing to come up.
