Depends on destination. East coast day flight I'd take the cheaper option, in fact I'd do this happily in Y. Night flight or longer haul I'd go for comfort. Ultimately this isn't a useful question to ask as there are a multitude of personal preferences, and knowing that doesn't help you a lot. What do you want to do and what would you settle for?
