I just completed a stay here. I flew into Monterey and the drive is only about an hour to ventana. Beautiful drive down. Program your GPS from the airport (or from your hiking spot) as the reception is limited. I used a points redemption. They upgraded to a forest suite from a regular room (I am an explorist). Checkout extended to 1:30 PM. Btw, I tried to do the mcway falls hike, but it was closed. There is probably an alternative way to get in. The hotel is secluded and beautiful; however, go out and do some hiking. There are so many areas that are picturesque.
