Thanks for encouragement... our additional challenge is that these were carry-ons with no identification. We have returned the bag we have to AA....now just hoping/praying/both that other person realizes and returns to AA. My daughter has a lot of sentimental items that can’t be replaced. That is why she did not check in the first place. Now having a tag/ID would have saved a lot of hassle.

And I found purchasing one of the colorful ID tags is the best. But I always put a slip of paper/business card with my contact info inside my carry on as well. I also put a label with name and cell number on the bottom of my larger electronic devices as well.
