If you have a credit card where the issuer of the card will refund the exorbitant Thai ATM fees, by all means just withdraw cash from an ATM at BKK airport or wait until you get to CNX. The difference in exchange rate is negligible and hardly worth bringing cash amounts to Thailand for, let alone searching for the "best" currency exchange booth.
