My wife and I are traveling with our soon to be 2 year old son from LAX-PVG on China Eastern (so hopefully their agents have a good understanding of the rules) then PVG-SIN-LAX on Singapore after 4 nights. We are arriving at 6 AM with plans to attend a wedding later in the afternoon. However we are just now getting our passports renewed and it's a bit of a hassle to get a visa beforehand, plus we'd like to save a bit of money if we can. I believe our itinerary qualifies for TWOV and we are staying in a hotel. From what I read, one usually needs to stop by a police station to register but it says usually hotels will take care of that for you. Do I need to notify the hotel before? Just trying to limit the amount of work we need to do considering we'll be tired from the flight and not sure how our toddler will be handling it.
