Can we have an alert when replying to a thread over X time since last post? Ie if last post was more than 1 year ago, system asks "are you sure you wish to post? Last post is dated over one year ago. Yes/No?" If over two years it requires a moderator's approval or thread is just automatically Closed to new posts.
Way too frequent posts where (especially new users, who've been directed to FT by a Google/Yahoo search) user doesn't realize the thread is many years old.
This thread was supposed to be about suggestions for the Info Desk,not general thoughts on how Flyertalk should work. While people have been posting the latter, it's not clear those generic suggestions are read by anyone.
