Yesterday I booked an érrorPlan reward flight from YZR > YSJ > YXY which consists of 8 flight segments. Half of the segments are on prop style planes like the DHs whilst the other 4 segments consisted of narrow and wide body jets like the A330, A320 and 787. Whilst selecting seats I noticed an interesting pattern emerge: for the prop style planes I would always get put at the back of the (air)bus whilst for the jets I would be randomly placed.

Is there any rhyme or reason as to why AC puts its passengers at the back of the (air)bus?
