Fairfield by Marriott Montreal Downtown is just off the main strip in the Village. It's not a 4- or 5- star hotel, but it's brand new, with modern design, and is decent. If you're taking Aerobus 747, then the hotel is just a block from the terminus.

I agree with the Fairfield Inn recommendation. In fact, I'm staying here now and it's convenient to the Village. While the hotel is modern and comfortable, the neighborhood has seen better days. Homeless people and panhandlers seem to be everywhere and the area is rather depressing. Unless you plan to party till the wee hours of the morning, it might be better to stay downtown and take the Metro to the village. But if you prefer to walk, the Fairfield Inn is a good choice.
