Unbelievable - BA
The original aircraft for the 368 LHR-MRS today went tech after being hit by a tug a couple of minutes before boarding time.
Luckily it’s an A320 so a new aircraft was promptly found and was positioned 45 minutes later on the adjacent gate. We boarded around 1 hour late and left the gate only 1h20 minutes after scheduled departure time.
The captain regularly came to the microphone at the gate to update and stayed around to answer questions.
After 45 minutes of waiting at the gate an announcement: ‘we are opening a trolley next to the boarding door with water and snacks. Please come and help yourselves’. (Needless to say, pax loaded up as if they had not eaten for 3 days, but that’s not the point).
Well done BA! Can you please do it every time!
