Good stay on Sat 28th Sep ( Party central on some floors)

Hi,

My mother and I had booked jnr suites for a 1 night stay on Sat 28th sep after coming back from 4 nights at the Hilton Niagara falls ( report in the Hilton NF thread to follow)
We arrived about 230pm and check in was quick. The junior suites offered were on the 6/7th floor which I felt was too low ( for street noise) and were able to get delux rooms on floor 23 ( one with a CN tower view and one with a city hall view) and a 3pm check out was given with no problem and wa appreciated ( we had a 630pm BA flight back to london)

The rooms were large, well appointed and quiet ( doors close quite loundly though) with a good shower and good drawer storage space.

The lounge had a good evening spread but the hot food was running low at around 645pm. Breakfast was good.

The Pool is open to 11pm but as I was heading down to the fitness centre at 10pm for a light workout., the lift stopped at a floor and the door opened to a cacophony of noise coming from what appeared to be college aged people ( I found out later that there was a large group of american college students staying at the hotel from security) having had too much too drink- they all appeared to want to get in the elevator at the same time but not everyone could. To be fair a couple of them did apologise. ( did not find out what college everyone was at but it does the reputation of american students not a lot of good for this noisy, behaviour

The noise continued as I worked out and did hear a bang against the glass door of the fitness area whilst I worked out but themn they apparently moved to the outdoor area.

After I finished there were 2 security staff coming out of the pool area and we rode up the elevator together. Before the elevator reached the floor requested by security we stopped at another floor only to hear what appeared to be a loud party so security went to investigate and I continued to my floor in peace and quiet.

In the morning I went for a swim before breakfast only to find lots of glass wine and beer bottles scattered around the outdoor pool area ( plenty of empty litter bins nearby) but none were broken. I mentioned it to the lounge receptionist and it was cleaned up during the morning.

I did not hear any noise in our corridor but in the early evening there was a reception/party in the level 2 patio area beside the pool ( not sure if there were the same group)

Overall despite the noise, it was a very good stay. ( we had 3 nights here the previous weekend with a good experience and no parties

There was construction around the main revolving door but the doors by the side allowed access to the lobby area.

Regards
