Also, your FCO transfer would likely take under 45 minutes so you def have a chance to be at the gate for the 6 PM flight prior to boarding... Not sure if you would be allowed to board without paying the change fee + fare difference
Have you considered doing the train to Naples? The journey is about 2 - 2.5 hours and a lot more comfortable than on a plane seat
