This is a long-running issue. Yes, you purchased (a deep discount) first class fare but part of that fare rule require fare inventory in P
and a particular economy fare class (such as S, W, V ,Q, ...) inventory at time of purchase. UA has been on-off in enforcing this requirement for SDC. The app has generally been OK, phone agents less so.
The agent statements are backwards but correct you need both fare classes.
