Posting on JAL Forum so assuming your 22:00 NRT departure is on JAL flight? Is it JL 782 to HNL? Yes, if it is JAL flight then you can check bags anytime during the day starting at 7:00 a.m. when check-in counter opens at NRT for JAL.
However, another possibility is can you check your luggage all the way to you final destination from your origin airport so that you do not have to retrieve your luggage at NRT? Or is your flight into NRT does not have an interline agreement with JL?
