Mrs A and I have booked an outward leg next year in September to San Jose in F and intend working our way south over a couple of weeks to end up in the LA/San Diego area to fly home. We will have a car so as i see it the options seem to be flying from LAX, SAN, LAS or PHX. It will be on a 2-4-1 voucher and I would prefer to snag a flight home in F but looking at historical availability I realise that isn't so likely so will be happy with J especially since it will be an overnight flight.The time is approaching fast to book the return leg so i'm asking for any suggestions as to what the best airport to fly from in terms of comfort/lounge/best aircraft, assuming of course we end up having a choice. Also any opinions on which route would be most likely to open up availability in F at some later date to allow an upgrade.
