I booked the flight a week ago so it’s too late to cancel. I didn’t notice it was actually basic economy until I decided to check the reservation again.
I called them earlier today and they basically said that the ticket was BE and they can’t do anything about it. They didn’t seem to understand that there was no indication that it wasn’t BE at the time of booking. I talked to a supervisor after and they told me to go the counter and tell them my situation and see if they waive it, and if they don’t, ask for a refund online after. I will try that if there’s no other option, but it’s not the response I was looking for.
