Planes versus train: What’s the fastest way from Boston to NYC?
Yikes, what a terrible experiment. I'll admit that their previous experiment where they raced different transportation options to get to the airport in New York, was actually a decent read and informative, this one was anything but that.
They picked LGA and EWR for the two airports to race against the Acela Express. Why not JFK? Why are they taking Uber and Lyft everywhere where there is public transportation that can get them around traffic?
With all of these services being scheduled, everyone leaving at the same time breaks this experiment. Any reader who would want to take a similar trip would evaluate all of their options based on schedules. JetBlue being the fastest in this case would not be the same case if the next flight isn't until after the next train or the next United flight to EWR.
