I give the ID but also say that the transaction probably wont go through because there's some problem with my ID in the MG system. I think it looks suspicious if I cancel a transaction myself when ID is requested. Handling it this way, I can try again any time with the same CSR at the same store, even a few minutes later. "Must be a system glitch. I'll do some shopping and come back later."
