BA and Flybe no longer have a reciprocal ticketing agreement so BE would not be an option.
They do, however, have LNER now so the airport teams have a lot more flexibility than they used to. Also KL EDI-AMS-LHR is a definite option if you have your passport with you (and no visa requirement).
